The Goddess Guide to New York – It’s a Dream Odyssey

New York State of Mind

Find your #GoddessInspiration in the city that never sleeps.

New York is one of the most iconic places in the world, packed with culture, fashion, and iconic landmarks that make it one of the most visited destinations on earth. But if you’re a goddess who finds herself amongst the glittering skyscrapers of Manhattan what are the must-visit destinations for your trip? The problem with NYC is not what to do, it’s what to skip – there are just so many attractions, eateries, and stores clamouring for your attention. We were lucky to find ourselves exploring the Big Apple recently and we did the hard work for you, bringing together our favourite destinations to help you get the most out of your trip across the Atlantic.

These are some of our favourite things to do in NYC. It’s time to #GetYourGoddessOn stateside.

See The City From The Sky

New York City is huge and it’s impossible to see everything it has to offer in just a few days. But one way to get a glimpse of its many iconic sights is by heading up. The most famous way to do this is to visit the Empire State Building but expect long lines before you make it to the top of this legendary skyscraper. Instead, consider a trip to Top of the Rock– the viewing platform at the Rockefeller centre, which has three levels of viewing platforms and tickets are timed to cut down on queueing.

Drink Coffee in Greenwich Village

Referred to by locals as simply, the Village, this a place to see and be seen. Explore artisan boutiques, trendy bars, and hip cafés hidden along its gorgeous tree-lined streets. We like to grab a coffee and take in the sights and sounds of this bustling hub. Don’t forget your favourite A Gift From The Gods notebook to jot down your thoughts while you sip your soy latte. Our Dream Odyssey Star Spiral Notebook will keep you looking stylish as you scribble.

Shop it Up (Everywhere)

You can’t come to NYC and not indulge in at least a little retail therapy. And whether you want to splurge on designer goodies or explore the local flea market, there is a little something for everyone here. Saks Fifth Avenue is a great place to start and this grand old department store is stuffed with beautiful designer clothes, accessories, and cosmetics. But if you’re looking for a special vintage find or something a little more budget friendly then Canal Street Market in Soho is buzzing with independent vendors.

Sip Cocktails at the Best Bar in the World

Dead Rabbit may not be the prettiest name for a bar but this cosy spot in the financial district deserves all of the awards it has collected in recent years. Head for the sit-down cocktail parlour and explore an inventive menu that changes every six months. Fancy something a little more off-the-wall? Katana Kitten in the West Village is a hot spot for those New Yorkers in the know right now, with a menu of cocktail classics given a Japanese twist. Wherever you head after dark make sure you have your beauty essentials on standby. Our cosmetic bags and pouches are perfect for keeping you feeling picture perfect after a long day of urban exploring. We love the Get Your Goddess On Crown Blue Clear Pouch for easy storage when we travel.
