After working at legendary dance music club Venus in Nottingham
in the early 90s, Jane Reucroft set up one of the first DJ agencies
specialising in dance music DJs booking out DJs Jeremy Healy, John
Digweed and Christian Woodyatt. Most club nights were run by the
guys, including ladies nights with female DJs but these were not
promoted well so she created the UKs first and definitive all-girl
DJ club tour A Gift From The Gods showcasing DJs Angel, Clara Da
Costa (Miss Bisto), Emma Frisco, Mistress Mo, Miss Jools, Lovely
Helen, Lisa Lashes, Anne Savage, Charlotte, Vicki and Dazee as a
properly sorted, sexy and sassy event.
"People were promoting ladies' nights for the small but
growing number of female DJ's and it sounded like a darts match
which was not sexy. I wanted to promote my female DJs and my
company was VenusApollo and A Gift From The Gods just came to me as
they were talented, beautiful and sexy with a bit of independent

At the tour nights, fashion conscious female clubbers clamoured for
the T-shirts with A Gift From The Gods logo on so we printed more
up and said here you go. A brand was born. The tour took in
the length and breadth of the UK, playing some great clubs and
meeting some lovely people. We want to find you again and say Hi!
